Community Guidelines
Mimi is a live-stream shopping and e-commerce community. These Guidelines explain the conduct, content, products, and commercial practices that are not permitted, as well as the standards users must follow to keep the platform trustworthy and safe.
Last updated 10 September 2026
These Guidelines apply to everyone. They cover buyers, sellers, hosts, creators, viewers, affiliates, advertisers, and any person who accesses Mimi's website, applications, live streams, messaging, marketplace, or related services.
1 How these Guidelines apply
These Guidelines form part of Mimi's Terms of Service. Users must also follow applicable laws, product-specific rules, seller requirements, promotion terms, and directions issued by Mimi. If a law or another Mimi policy sets a stricter standard, the stricter standard applies.
The examples below are not exhaustive. Mimi may restrict content, conduct, or products that create a legal, safety, fraud, reputational, or consumer-protection risk even if the exact example is not listed.
2 Core community standards
| Status | Meaning | User responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| Allowed | Ordinary lawful commerce and respectful community participation. | Follow listing rules, provide accurate information, and respect other users. |
| Restricted | Permitted only in approved circumstances and subject to licences, age controls, documentation, location limits, or prior review. | Obtain Mimi's written approval and satisfy every applicable requirement before listing or promoting. |
| Prohibited | Not permitted to be listed, sold, promoted, demonstrated, requested, facilitated, or linked through Mimi. | Do not upload, stream, transact, redirect users, or attempt to evade detection. |
3 Respectful and lawful behaviour
Harassment and bullying. Do not threaten, intimidate, shame, stalk, sexually harass, repeatedly target, or encourage abuse of another person.
Hateful conduct. Do not attack, degrade, exclude, or incite hostility against a person or group based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or serious medical condition.
Violence and dangerous conduct. Do not threaten, praise, organise, or instruct violence; depict graphic violence mainly to shock; promote dangerous challenges; or encourage conduct likely to cause injury or property damage.
Self-harm and exploitation. Do not encourage suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, trafficking, forced labour, sexual exploitation, or abuse. Supportive discussion and legitimate awareness content must be handled responsibly and must not provide harmful instructions.
Child safety. Do not sexualise, exploit, endanger, groom, contact for improper purposes, or reveal sensitive information about a minor. Content involving minors must be age-appropriate and lawfully created with suitable adult supervision and permissions.
Privacy. Do not share personal, confidential, financial, medical, identity, location, or account information without lawful authority. Doxxing, blackmail, non-consensual intimate material, and threats to expose information are prohibited.
4 Honest commerce and authentic engagement
Accurate representations. Listings and live-stream statements must accurately describe the product, seller, price, quantity, condition, origin, material features, availability, delivery terms, warranty, and return conditions.
No misleading claims. Do not use fake discounts, false scarcity, altered demonstrations, fabricated testimonials, misleading before-and-after images, undisclosed material conditions, or unsubstantiated health, performance, income, or investment claims.
Authentic engagement. Do not buy or coordinate fake followers, views, likes, comments, reviews, orders, referrals, or live-stream activity. Do not review your own product without clear disclosure or pressure users to leave dishonest feedback.
No fraud or impersonation. Do not use stolen identities, false credentials, fake businesses, deceptive payment requests, phishing, advance-fee schemes, fake giveaways, romance scams, investment scams, recovery scams, or impersonation of Mimi, a public authority, brand, professional, or another person.
Platform integrity. Do not manipulate search results, recommendation systems, rankings, promotions, vouchers, commissions, refunds, chargebacks, or account limits. Creating linked accounts to avoid enforcement is prohibited.
Transactions on Mimi. Do not redirect users to unauthorised off-platform payment methods or communications to avoid Mimi's safeguards, fees, records, review, or dispute process. Never request passwords, one-time codes, or unnecessary financial information.
5 Live-stream and content rules
Hosts, creators, sellers, guests, and viewers must follow these additional rules:

8 Seller and creator responsibilities
- Know and comply with the laws that apply to the product, content, transaction, buyer, destination, and delivery method.
- Complete identity and business verification honestly and keep licences, contact details, payment information, and beneficial ownership information current.
- Sell only genuine products that you own or are authorised to distribute, and keep reliable sourcing and authenticity records.
- Use accurate product categories, titles, images, descriptions, prices, inventory, warnings, age limits, and delivery information.
- Meet product safety, packaging, labelling, storage, advertising, warranty, return, refund, tax, and recordkeeping requirements.
- Respond promptly to safety notices, complaints, recalls, regulatory requests, intellectual-property reports, and Mimi investigations.
- Protect buyer information and use it only to complete the transaction or for another lawful purpose clearly disclosed to the buyer.
9 Intellectual property and brand rights
Users must create or obtain permission for the images, music, video, logos, product descriptions, and other content they upload or stream. Do not imply sponsorship, partnership, authenticity, or authorisation that does not exist.
Rights owners may report suspected infringement. Mimi may request evidence, remove or restrict content, suspend repeat infringers, and share necessary information as permitted by law and Mimi's policies.
10 Security and technical abuse
- Do not upload malicious code, probe vulnerabilities, bypass access controls, interfere with systems, or disrupt another user's device or connection.
- Do not scrape, harvest, copy, or use Platform data, images, listings, prices, profiles, or communications without authorisation.
- Do not automate account creation, messages, purchases, bids, views, clicks, or engagement unless Mimi has expressly approved the integration.
- Do not reverse engineer the Platform, defeat geographical or age restrictions, conceal device or account relationships, or help another user evade enforcement.
11 Reporting concerns
Use Mimi's in-platform reporting tools where available, or contact us by email. Reports should identify the account, stream, listing, order, message, or content involved and explain the concern. Screenshots, transaction records, product photographs, and other relevant evidence may help us review the report.
Do not submit reports that you know are false or use reporting tools to harass a competitor or another user. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority first.
12 Enforcement
Mimi considers the nature, severity, context, frequency, intent, actual or potential harm, legal requirements, and a user's history when deciding how to respond. We may take one or more of the following actions:
- issue a warning, education notice, or request for correction or additional documents;
- reduce visibility, apply an age or location restriction, stop a live stream, or remove content or a listing;
- cancel or limit orders, promotions, commissions, withdrawals, or seller privileges where reasonably necessary;
- temporarily restrict features or suspend or permanently terminate an account;
- hold or refund funds as permitted by the Terms of Service, payment rules, and applicable law;
- preserve relevant records, cooperate with rights owners, or report suspected unlawful activity to competent authorities; and
- take urgent action without advance notice where necessary to protect users, evidence, the Platform, or the public.
Mimi may use automated systems, human review, user reports, transaction signals, and third-party information to identify potential violations. An automated signal does not necessarily mean a violation occurred.
13 Appeals and corrections
Where an appeal option is available, submit it within the stated period and explain why the decision should be changed. Include complete and authentic supporting evidence. Repeated appeals without new information may be closed. Mimi may restore content or account access when a decision was incorrect or the issue has been adequately resolved.
14 Changes to these Guidelines
Mimi may update these Guidelines to address new products, technologies, risks, legal requirements, or community needs. The revised version will show the date of the latest update. We may provide additional notice when a material change affects user responsibilities.
